The park
Altafiumara Resort & Spa rises in a 10 acre park which dominates the ragged coastline and the splendid beaches of the Viola coast where Scilla and Cariddi still live in the suggestive enchanting fable.. The incontestable protagonist in this part of the world is the Calabrian Bergamot, the famous plant used by Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical and Perfumery producers through out the world. A corner of the park is reserved for a biological vegetable garden where we cultivate herbs and vegetables that you will find served in our restaurants. The pathway that passes through the vegetable garden is a true 'Aroma trail' .
The beach and the sea
Altafiumara's private beach is an exclusive bay hidden amongst the cliffs the crystal clear water of the Viola coast. The Straits is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the hot Mediterranean sun. An authentic paradise for wind surfer, surfer, sub diving, sailing and fishing tourism where the sea floor is full of amazing colours and living creatures. Further into the sea you can discover a forest of giant seaweed which creates a magic undersea world giving voice to numerous legends.

The park hosts a permanent contemporary art exhibition which is continually adjourned. Rotella's 'decollages', Schifano's Pop culture, Scanavino and Cavaliere's sculptural art, Bonalumi's tactile sculptural painting, Isgrò's art, Uncini's 'cement spaces' and Conrad Marca-Relli not only... together in a single exhibition that moves from the Art lounge in the Castle throughout the park, highlighting the artistic production of the 20th century.
